The New Chapter.
I have been gone I have graduated I am now officially a game designer yay. What has changed? I have a title now that is about it.
What happened to the First Person Shooter Idea you had?:
It evolved and expanded and changed It went through some idea shifts and I well Honestly Lost everything to do with the file until last night when I found it hiding inside my Steam Deck. SOO that is good news that stuff isn't a total loss which it does not really matter because that game I was making was made before I was done with school and before I learned how things really worked. So now we have what folks? OFF SITE DATA STORAGE. In two places! so we are safe they get updated as soon as I am done adding something new I hit save boom backed up ready to go lesson 1 learned framed understood.
Lesson 2: Focusing on what you need done making tasks to full fill each week instead of going at it randomly. For instance Today is Modeling Wednesday. Every Wednesday I will do some modeling work on a specific model for that month. This month is the Scanner because it is integral for the game to work. This will be one of the FPS elements kept from the old game. You can turn to Label mode edit a label and shoot it at an item. Or you can turn scan mode on scan NPC stuff and sell them their product etc.
Lesson 3: Don't let others tell you you cant do something. I had someone tell me that I was not worth the time and was thrown away recently because they did not like the way I handled my work. I make templates of everything I am doing and then fill in the blanks It makes everything so much easier. I madlib my life basically. And that is to slow or to AI adjacent I kid you not that was said to me. So I am doing this project, Going to school, And doing intern work, And working to prove a point. I am worth my weight And the way I do things is valid. So if someone doesn't like you for you get rid of them or prove them wrong and make them embarrassed. I want this to work so bad I want people to enjoy my little version of animal crossings meets games nerd shop so bad I can't see straight and I wont sleep until it is!
What I need right now is as little support as you can give. Be that a like even if you hate it. A follow even if you don't see my content as fun. A single view even if its just the first minuet. I need everyone to show this project the love it deserves and in turn I will do more than that for you. GO visit the main page to read more about what this project is about. Nightly builds will start going up as soon as you can play the game play loop. Purchase stock>Place stock>Sell Stock> Gain Gold>Purchase Stock>Place Stock> then we can move into NPC upgrades, Custom games, Custom comics, Custom books etc. Yea that right I want you to be able to make things inside this game and sell them to NPCs who will comment on that product. Get to know your NPCs and have a small very small open space to live in. with all the data that's going to get processed It is best we keep the open world aspect not that large and keep it very old school animal crossings. Will this mean you will see the same set of people each time. I don't know yet we will see the technicalities of things as we grow. As of right now I want a game space, I want a home space, I would love to have an open world space where you can move from Work to home that would be fun. I want placeable furniture for the home and store and I want to have some you can buy and some you can make. Multiplayer aspects and all the other stuff will come with time and support. The idea right now is to design a fun single player experience that is more tailored to a better vision a simulation that is cute, Fun, and Inspirational. And more importantly hopefully later shareable with a multiplayer option.
